Open and Distance e-Learning Studio

The ODeL studio supports development of multimedia learning content and use of the Learning Management System. Faculty staff received digital-teaching training and two pilot courses were fully developed for online use.

Agricultural Workshop

The agricultural workshop supports practical skills in farm structures, machinery and mechanisation. The workshop building was partially renovated during the reporting year.

Agricultural Research Laboratory

Laboratory facilities support crop, soil, food, feed and insect-based research. A PCR machine valued at UGX 32 million was acquired during 2023/24 to strengthen research and practical teaching.

Aquaculture and apiculture activities form part of the Faculty's practical training and enterprise work, supporting hands-on learning beyond the classroom.

Cattle, goat, pig and poultry units support practical training in animal production, health, nutrition, welfare, feed processing and farm management.

Crop Production and Demonstration Fields

FAAS uses its Arapai Campus land for practical crop production, field experimentation and enterprise learning. Students develop skills in annual crops, crop protection, soils, mechanisation, postharvest practice and climate-smart agriculture.
